Amazon EC2 Systems Manager ‘State Manager’ is a secure and scalable configuration management service that ensures your EC2 instances or an on-premise servers are in a desired or consistent state.

State Manager helps you define and maintain consistent configuration of operating systems and applications. Using State Manager, you can control configuration details (e.g. EC2 instance configurations, anti-virus definitions, firewall settings) and define configuration policies in a few clicks.
