Google Cloud Platform implement firewall in form of firewall rules. You don’t have to worry about any hardware, any specific configuration in different regions or zones, you can simply specify the firewall rules that You wish to have in your network.

In this video, we will show you how to control traffic in and out of your instances on GCP by creating Firewall Rules.

This video covers:
1. What are firewall rules?
2. What are ingress and egress traffic?
3. Create a Compute Instance with ‘Allow HTTP traffic’. You can see how you can create network tags and use them to apply the rules to your instances, based on your need.
4. As example we will create a rule, that will block all ICMP (PING) traffic, set the target as network tag, and assign the network tag to one of my hosts, and of course test the results.
